The Homeopathic Consultation
Individualized treatment is the key to homeopathy. I conduct an initial interview which lasts up to two hours (shorter for children—see below), covering the details of all health problems as well as about you in general.
Homeopathic remedies are primarily chosen based on what is unique about you and your state of health. So in addition to details about your health, homeopaths are interested in things such as your likes and dislikes, what you find stressful, and your life experiences.
I do not conduct a physical examination. I am not a medical or naturopathic doctor and therefore I do not diagnose disease. Medical diagnosis is important, although not central to chronic homeopathic treatment, so I ask that all clients be under the care of a physician. Nor do I make any recommendations about prescription medications or other conventional medical treatments. You do not have to stop conventional treatments to use homeopathy.
I also do consultations by internet video. Phone consultations may be a possiblity as well. Please inquire if you are interested in either of these options.

Follow-ups usually occur roughly every month* until we are confident that you are taking the correct remedy. It sometimes takes more than one visit to find the correct remedy for you. After that, follow-ups are only as needed—when a remedy is not working for you any longer. Once the correct remedy is found, a few doses will usually work for months or years, depending on your health situation.
*For pregnant women or infants, follow-up appointments will occur more frequently. Fees cover all visits within one month of the paid visit.
